New Generations Can Help with Your Caregiver Duties
New Generations is run by a passionate team of skilled caregivers who treats each guest like part of their own family. We understand how stressful being a full-time caregiver can be, which is why we strive to provide your loved one with a safe, structured environment with staff members you can trust. Our wide range of caregiver duties allows us to provide adult day care services to many different guests, ranging from senior citizens with dementia to young adults with special needs. Our programs are perfect for individuals who require supportive care during the day and can return home in the evenings.
Our primary goal is to help caregivers manage the daily responsibilities of caring for their loved one while providing each guest with the opportunity to socialize and develop a sense of independence while having a whole lot of fun each and every day.
Elderly Caregiver Duties
Elderly individuals who do not suffer from cognitive decline may simply need more assistance in their day-to-day living, which is why we strive to help each senior citizen who attends our VIP Program at New Generations to feel empowered. Our programs are individually tailored to your loved one’s preferences and abilities. These person centered care plans allow individuals to flourish by enhancing their quality of life and providing fun socialization opportunities.
Every day New Generations offers the opportunity to socialize and develop friendships. The level of socialization and stimulation provided at our adult day care is unable to be met by an in-home caretaker. The group activities provide a great opportunity for your loved one to enjoy mental, physical and social interactions.
Specialized Senior Care
We’re blessed that we can provide meaningful experiences and care to a variety of clients with unique needs. Our Alzheimer’s memory management helps maintain cognitive ability and language skills, and our stroke care program allows your loved one to receive the highest quality of care that promotes recovery including physical therapy, medication management, on-demand registered nurses and speech and mobility exercises.
It’s important for every participant at New Generations to feel like they have a choice. Even those with limited communication skills have a voice, they just speak in a different way. We offer a variety of activities for guests to partake in, ensuring that each person’s unique personality and interests are taken into account.
Some of our activities include:
- Daily devotionals
- Arts and crafts
- Live music
- Outdoor activities
- Daily exercise
- Educational presentations
- Field trips to local businesses and establishments like the movie theater and bowling alley
Members with special needs get to be a part of our Gary’s Gang Program, lovingly named after our founder’s late autistic son. The gang is inclusive and welcoming to people of all ages (18 years and older) and backgrounds. We offer an Autism Sensory Room where individuals can retreat to in order to relax and desensitize. All of Gary’s Gang members get to develop important social skills while participating in fun activities that are therapeutic and cognitively stimulating. Our field trips are both educational and fun and include trips to places like Ripley’s Aquarium, McLeod Farms, the bowling alley and much more.
In addition to providing your loved one with the environment they need to thrive, New Generations offers caregiver duties which help each individual build confidence and develop skills that allow them to live life to their fullest potential. Physical therapy, medication management, nutrition and wellness are all considered vital aspects of proper care. By putting each guest’s needs first, we ensure that they are able to be the best versions of themselves each and every day.
